Trey Craig Emerges Victorious in the Battle of Broadway

June 27, 2024

The Battle of Broadway 150 was introduced to fans of Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway this season as a prelude to Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway.

NASCAR regulars Josh Berry, Ross Chastain, and Tommy Joe Martins provided some star power to the lineup for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars sanctioned Pro Late Model race, but all the flash and glamour of NASCAR mattered not.

Trey Craig of Louisville, Kentucky took home the victory after fending off Brett Robinson and Corey Deuser on the final restart, but he had inherited the lead after Chase Johnson fell from the top position due to a mechanical issue, ending his night.

“At the start of the race I really thought we were a fifth, sixth place car,” said Craig. “When we drew the second spot on the redraw, got behind [Chase Johnson] and I was like ‘man we got something’. I wanted that choose so I can get by him before that competition caution. We got our front, set our pace and set sail.”

Robinson and Deuser rounded out the podium in second and third respectively, while Ross Chastain and Josh Berry completed the remaining spots in the top five. Tommy Joe Martins, the other NASCAR regular, finished in thirteenth position.
