Taylor Corum Builds Consistency and Confidence in 2025 Show Me The Money Campaign

November 12, 2025

Montgomery, AL — Taylor Corum’s rookie season in Show Me The Money Series competition was one of growth and learning, with the young racer improving her racecraft over the course of the 2025 campaign.

The year started off rather slowly, with Corum scoring an 11th place finish and two 12th place finishes to start the year, but things dramatically improved over the summer stretch. In the final four races, Corum picked up one Top 5 finish along with four Top 10’s.

“We definitely struggled in the beginning of the year, but we also learned a lot and made up for it with good finishes at the end. I think it was a pretty decent year,” said Corum.

Corum is making a name for herself in Deep South short track competition, with the young racer also having a good past couple of years at Huntsville Speedway in North Alabama. There, she’s picked up several feature wins as well as a Rookie of the Year title in 2024 and a third place effort in the 2025 standings.

Despite the success at Huntsville’s 1/4-mile bullring, Montgomery Motor Speedway is inherently a much different style of track to approach. Despite the differences, Corum managed to adapt throughout the year to the style of driving needed to tackle the Central Alabama 1/2-mile facility.

“I’m used to Huntsville, where you turn into the corner almost immediately. At Montgomery, you have to wait with the longer straightaways. We got it down towards the end of the year, and I’m learning how to get around better than I was.”

The different approach to two different styles of track provided Corum with a wider grasp of knowledge and skills, which are set to only improve in the future. For Montgomery specifically though, Corum expects to improve her craft at the historic racing facility much more intensely in the coming seasons.

“I’m gonna try to race at Montgomery for the whole season next year,” said Corum. “Maybe try and go for a better finish in points and better finishes in the races. I like Montgomery a lot, and I think it’ll become one of my main focuses.”

Corum also has another thing going for her when it comes to her racing career. Being a female racer, Corum naturally serves as a role model to girls who normally don’t get represented as much in the short track world. Corum doesn’t necessarily want the added attention of being a female racer though, as she simply (and rightfully) wants to be known for her on-track accomplishments.

“I try to just encourage everyone to come out and race. It feels good to be a girl in racing, but I don’t want to stand out. It is a big deal, but it’s something I wish was normalized. I just want to race.”

Corum also serves as an advocate for awareness towards Type 1 Diabetes, a condition that Corum herself has been affected by. Despite the setbacks, she’s continued to break boundaries and fight to achieve better and better results. The fight comes in spite of a condition that could easily hold back others from fulfilling their own goals, whatever they may be.

Corum’s 2025 Show Me The Money season was a microcosm of that same type of fight. Despite the initial struggles that a new track brought to Corum and her team, the results continued to improve race by race. Given Corum’s recent record of steady development, it’s not hard to envision that trend continuing in the near future.
