Champions Crowned at Montgomery ‘Spooktacular’ Season Finale

November 2, 2025

Montgomery, AL — The final event of Montgomery Motor Speedway’s 2025 season, the ‘Spooktacular Trunk or Treat,’ saw four of the track’s core divisions compete for feature wins and championship glory.

The evening featured racing from the Late Model Sportsmen, Outlaw Late Models, Street Stocks, and Crown Stocks.

Williams Claims LMS Victory, Wagner Claims Championship

Dora, Alabama’s Jeremy Williams took home the Late Model Sportsman victory at Montgomery Motor Speedway after an impressive showing all day long. After coming up just 0.021 seconds short of the pole in qualifying, Williams was a man on a mission when the feature event went green.

Quickly putting himself in position at the front of the field, Williams made it look easy as he consistently led the field for almost the entirety of the feature event. Williams, who also claimed a victory at Montgomery earlier in the year, would go on to score a second victory in 2025 to close out the season.

Behind Williams, Chris Wagner and Trey Grimes rounded out the podium positions in second and third place respectively. J.R. Hartley and Thomas Hartzog completed the top five.

With his second place finish, Chris Wagner clinched the 2025 Late Model Sportsman championship at Montgomery Motor Speedway. Wagner finished the season with four total victories, the most of any driver in Late Model Sportsman competition this year.

Crocker Scores Outlaw Late Model Victory, Henderson Crowned Champion

For Donald Crocker, his Outlaw Late Model victory on Saturday night was a meaningful one. After an absence from racing, Crocker managed to put together a solid run en route to victory lane at Montgomery Motor Speedway.

Qualifying in fifth position, Crocker would find himself up front at the start of the race by virtue of the redraw alongside teammate/car owner Dylan Courtney. Track position proved to be huge for Crocker, as he stayed up front nearly all night long. Even a brief scare that saw his car lose power couldn’t stop Crocker, as he quickly resolved the issue and worked his way back up to the lead, passing Courtney to do so before eventually taking home the win.

Behind Crocker, Courtney would finish second with pole winner Jesse Dutilly in third. Spencer Bragg and Jeremy Williams completed the top five positions.

An eighth place run proved to be just enough for Cameron Henderson to claim the 2025 Outlaw championship at Montgomery Motor Speedway, doing so by a margin of just two points over John Burns. Henderson may not have scored any feature wins at Montgomery in 2025, but consistency proved to be key, resulting in a prized Outlaw championship.

Melvin Wins Street Stock Battle, Davis Wins the War

Saturday night was close to a clean sweep for Charlie Melvin, who topped the charts in qualifying before ultimately scoring the Street Stock victory at Montgomery Motor Speedway.

Claiming the pole but starting in third position due to the redraw, Melvin made quick work of the field and soon found himself in the lead. In Melvin’s only other run in Street Stock competition this year at Montgomery, he had to settle for second. This time however, Melvin would improve by one spot to end the year with a Street Stock feature win.

Behind Melvin, Will Smith and Ryan Logan completed the podium positions. Dawson Parker and Charles Davis rounded out the top five in fourth and fifth places respectively.

The top five run for Davis was enough to clinch the 2025 Street Stock championship at Montgomery Motor Speedway. Davis put an incredible stretch together in the last half of the season, overcoming issues from the start of the year. Five total wins, including four victories in a row, propelled Davis to the top of the standings, resulting in yet another championship for the veteran racer.

Chris Salter Clinches 2025 Championship with Crown Stock Victory

2025 has been a dream year for Chris Salter and Adam Salter, who have scored countless victories in Crown Stock competition across the Southeast. For Chris Salter, his dominance has been on display at Montgomery Motor Speedway specifically, where he scored yet another win on Saturday night.

Once the green flag flew, Chris never looked back. Chris Salter’s victory put a bow on a near perfect 2025 season, rewarding him with the 2025 Crown Stock championship at Montgomery Motor Speedway. Four total wins on the year showcased just how dominant Chris Salter has been at the historic half-mile in 2025.
