Maupin Scores Modifieds of Mayhem Win, Price Claims Championship

October 19, 2025

Montgomery, AL — The final points-paying race of the 2025 Modifieds of Mayhem season saw a first-time winner and a first-time champion emerge in the same night.

For Jared Maupin, his victory in the ‘Alabama State Championship’ 50-lapper was a dominant one. Leading all 50 laps, no one could slow Maupin down en route to his win.

“We’ve been close a few times this year,” said Maupin in victory lane. “I want to say we got two seconds, and this is finally our first win.  This thing got a clip a couple of weeks ago. We thrashed to get this thing here. It’s an absolute rocket. I can’t thank these guys enough, man.”

Behind Maupin, second place finisher Ryan Price would claim the 2025 Modifieds of Mayhem championship. Coming into the weekend third in points, the strong podium finish propelled Price to the top of the standings when the checkered flag flew.

We came up one short,” said Price. “He was just a little bit better than us. Honestly, lapped traffic was helping me out there for a minute, held him up. I was like, okay, this is my chance. Then, lapped traffic held me up just as much. That’s the way it goes. I wanted to win, but we got the championship, so I’m happy with this.”

Behind Maupin and Price, Matthew LaPrade rounded out the podium in third place. Hunter Evans and Parker Pugh completed the top five.

While the night served as the points-paying finale for the Modifieds of Mayhem, the tour still has two non-points events remaining in 2025. The tour will return to action on November 14th at New Smyrna Speedway as part of the Governor’s Cup weekend. The tour will then hold its final race of the year on December 5th as part of Snowball Derby week.
