Christensen Claims Show Me The Money Victory, Wall and Smith Crowned as 2025 Champions

October 19, 2025

Montgomery, AL — The 2025 Show Me The Money finale at Montgomery Motor Speedway, also known as the ‘Alabama State Championship,’ resulted in an eventful night for Georgia driver Seth Christensen.

Christensen, a former Alabama 200 winner at Montgomery, was engaged in a tight battle with Luke Yarborough in the final laps. Christensen eventually pulled away with three laps remaining, scoring the victory.

“I’ve got to thank the Emma Britt Racing team for letting me come and have some fun this weekend,” said Christensen in victory lane. “To be able to score some good points for the Kulwicki Driver Development Program is super, super cool.”

While Yarborough was in contention for the victory all night long, he had to settle for a runner-up finish at the end of the 100-lap Pro Late Model contest.

“It’s been about two years since I’ve been at this track, and never been in this car before yesterday,” said Yarbrough. “I had a lot to catch up on in a little bit of time. About a quarter of the way into the race, I figured it out. It was looking real good for a second there, but Seth just got the best of me.”

Behind Christensen and Yarborough, Garrett Gumm rounded out the podium in third place. Jared Maupin and Dustin Smith rounded out the top five in fourth and fifth respectively.

For Smith, the night served as much more than a top-five finish, as he was crowned as the 2025 Rogers-Dabbs Southern Pro Series champion.

“It’s definitely a good season for us,” said Smith. “We won a championship at Mobile, and now this. Rogers-Dabbs does a lot for the racers around here, short track racers. If y’all need a 604 motor, y’all know who to call.”

Another champion was crowned in addition to Smith, as Madison, Alabama’s Jim Wall clinched the 2025 Show Me The Money series title. Wall finished the race in eighth, after contact with John Bolen took Wall out of contention for the victory in the closing laps.

“It’s been a long year. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs,” said Wall. “Our team, they worked so dadgum hard. This race tonight was ours to win. It’s all good. We got the championship. We’re glad about that. We wish we could have capped it off with a win. Our old buddy Roger Bates passed away mid-season. We really miss him. This means a lot to us.”

While the ‘Alabama State Championship’ served as the season finale for the Show Me The Money series, racing is not over at Montgomery Motor Speedway in 2025. Racing will return on November 1st with Late Model Sportsmen, Outlaw Late Models, Street Stocks, and Crown Stocks.
