Colin Allman Scores Dominant Frank Grill Memorial 112 Victory

September 21, 2025

Kinston, AL — Colin Allman’s momentous summer stretch has paid off with a victory, with the Florida racer dominating the inaugural Frank Grill Memorial 112 at South Alabama Speedway.

Allman’s victory was not easily earned, with multiple restarts impacting the night. Allman’s car did not get the initial starts that the team desired, but he was able to hold off Jake Finch on several occasions nonetheless.

The UARA-sanctioned event saw the race start without a redraw, meaning that Allman retained his front row starting spot after winning the pole earlier in the evening. From the fast time in qualifying to a dominating performance in the feature event, it was a dream weekend for Allman and his family team.

“Ricky [Brooks] announced in the drivers meeting that there was gonna be no invert, so I knew qualifying was going to be important with how hard it is to pass here,” said Allman. “It was a great weekend, just me and dad. We made it happen though. It’s awesome to come here and win the first Frank Grill Memorial.”

Dubbed ‘The Little Team That Could’ by some, Allman and his small family operation undoubtedly have a ton of momentum as the season draws to a close.

“I like our chances at Pensacola [next week]. Mobile’s kind of a wildcard for us. It’s such a totally different track and mindset going into that place. I feel good about the World Crown 300. Hopefully we can keep getting our car better and keep running up front. It’s huge for us.”

Behind Allman, Jake Finch and Michael Atwell rounded out the podium positions. Stephen Nasse and Michael Hinde rounded out the top five.
