September 20, 2025

New Smyrna Beach, FL — The Modifieds of Mayhem Tour is pleased to announce that the deep south open-wheel modified racing series will be heading to New Smyrna Speedway on Friday, November 14th as part of the 60th Florida Governor’s Cup race weekend.

The weekend is set to see a major revival of the Florida Governor’s Cup event and surrounding festivities, with the addition of the Modifieds of Mayhem only serving as the most recent example of a thrilling touring series participating in the fun in Central Florida.

“We’re just really excited to get down to New Smyrna Speedway and be a part of what they’re doing,” said Modifieds of Mayhem Tour Director, Stan Narrison. “We’ve got a lot of racers from the area that have been asking for this, and we’re excited to bring Mayhem racing to Central Florda. I think it’s going to be a fantastic show.”

“We are excited to add the Modifieds of Mayhem to our lineup for the 60th anniversary of the Florida Governor’s Cup,” said Rusty Marcus, Manager of New Smyrna Speedway. “We are looking to make this a spectacular event and feel that this is the missing piece. Stan and his crew put on incredible shows throughout the Southeast and we look forward to showcasing the tour at New Smyrna Speedway.”

The Modifieds of Mayhem feature during the Florida Governor’s Cup weekend will serve as a non-points race for the series, and will serve as the penultimate event for the tour in 2025. The Modifieds of Mayhem are just one part of the weekend as well, with the weekend being headlined by the ASA Southern Super Series and including multiple local racing divisions. Race dates for the overall weekend are slated for Friday, November 14th as well as Saturday, November 15th.
