Prattville, AL — Every weekend, short tracks erupt with high-octane racing action across the country. As such, there’s a plethora of races for fans to keep track of.

This localized racing digest has been constructed by Liberty Racing Review with the intention of helping bring exposure to short track races across the state of Alabama and surrounding areas.

For this week’s edition of LRR’s Deep South Digest, two events will be covered:

• Anderson Motor Speedway – zMAX CARS Tour
• Huntsville Speedway – Weekly Racing

Anderson Motor Speedway

In what was the biggest short track show in the country this past weekend, the zMAX CARS Tour invaded Anderson Motor Speedway in South Carolina for an electric night of racing. Headlined by the Late Model Stock Cars, the night also featured a Pro Late Model feature.

NASCAR Hall of Famer and CARS Tour co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. was notably in attendance, piloting the no. 8 Budweiser/MLB Speedway Classic throwback scheme.

Huntsville Speedway

Deeper towards the heart of the Deep South, Alabama’s Huntsville Speedway was host to seven feature events on Saturday night. The highlight feature of the night was that of the 50-lap Open-Wheel Modified event.
