Montgomery, AL — A trio of Montgomery Motor Speedway’s local divisions took to the track on Saturday, July 5th to celebrate the holiday weekend with the Independence Celebration.
The Late Model Sportsmen, Crown Stocks, and Street Stocks all took to the track for their respective features, with three racers all picking up their first wins of the 2025 Montgomery Motor Speedway season.
Jeremy Williams Dominates the Late Model Sportsman Feature
The first feature of the night was the Late Model Sportsman event, with saw Jeremy Williams pick up a dominant victory after claiming the fast time in qualifying.
After drawing a three for the invert, Williams easily made his way to the front of the field in the early laps. Williams would go on to win by a margin of almost four seconds over Chris Wagner. Jeff Campbell rounded out the podium in third.
Jeff Thompson and Joey Holt rounded out the top five.
For Williams, the win served as a big momentum boost after a somewhat unsavory 2025 season.
“Man it was a good platform,” said Williams. “We unloaded good and things just went our way tonight. I haven’t had too good of a year in anything else. Just had a lot of mechanical failures, but hopefully this is our turnaround for the year.

Austin Reeves Claims First Crown Stock Victory of 2025 Montgomery Season
The night was fairly straightforward for Austin Reeves. After setting the quick time in qualifying, Reeves would win his heat race, ensuring that he started up front for the Crown Stock feature event.
While Reeves didn’t have as dominant of a lead as Williams did in his respective feature, the race was still very much in Reeves’s control for virtually the whole race. Reeves emerged victorious when it was all said and done.
A barrage of BMR teammates all looked to challenge Reeves, but mostly fell off throughout the night due to mechanical issues or on-track incidents. One lone BMR machine finished on the podium, with Chris Salter coming home in second behind Reeves.
Spencer Reynolds rounded out the podium in third, with Brian Musgrove and Tanner Bethea rounding out the top five.

Ryan Logan Scores Special Street Stock Win
Following a fifth-place qualifying effort, Ryan Logan found himself towards the front of the Street Stock field later on in the evening on Saturday.
Logan had a hard-charging Will Smith on his tail for much of the race, but especially in the later stages. Smith appeared to be making ground around the outside, but ultimately fell back towards the very end.
With Logan picking up the victory and Smith finishing in the runner-up spot, Dawson Parker found his way to a third place result.
Howard Langham and Bubba Deaton rounded out the top five.
Ryan Logan’s victory was a special one for him, coming on the same night his family was racing at Outlaw Speedway in Jasper, Alabama.
“My son turned eighteen last week. He got hurt racing and had surgery, but he’s back racing at Outlaw Speedway,” said Logan.
“My brother-in-law usually comes with us, but he’s up [at Outlaw Speedway]. Those guys are the backbone of everything that we do. Just real emotional not having them here, but I know they were watching and rooting us on.”
