Fyffe, AL — The third rendition of the Legendary Marvin Ford Classic is set to unfold on Saturday, April 19th at Fort Payne Motor Speedway.

The facility is a unique dirt track nestled in the hills of Northern Alabama. This particular event is named in honor of the former track owner at Fort Payne, Marvin Ford. Ford passed away in late 2022, making the event a sentimental one for competitors in Alabama and surrounding areas.

This “Pit Pass Preview” story will provide fans with a plethora of information that they should know ahead of the Third Annual Legendary Marvin Ford Classic.

Divisions Competing

Fort Payne Motor Speedway is home to a full slate of weekly classes that fans can expect to see.

With the Legendary Marvin Ford Classic slated to house all weekly divisions, classes such as the 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, Limited Late Models, Open-Wheel Modifieds, Bombers, and more are expected to appear.

The highlight of this particular event is an enhanced purse of $2,038 for the winner of the Limited Late Model feature.

Weekend Schedule

Gates are slated to open at 4:00 pm on Saturday. According to Fort Payne Motor Speedway’s website, the Drivers Meeting is expected to be held at 6:00 pm with hot laps and racing action to follow.
