Cordele, GA — The zMAX CARS Tour is venturing out of its homeland of the Mid-Atlantic to the plains of Cordele, Georgia for the third event of their season.
The Tour’s visit to Cordele Motor Speedway will feature both the Late Model Stock and Pro Late Model divisions, mixing the series’s familiar Mid-Atlantic talent with some Deep South short track mainstays.
This “Pit Pass Preview” story will provide race fans with a plethora of valuable information to know ahead of the zMAX CARS Tour’s visit to South Georgia.
Entries
Far and away, the highlight of the weekend entries is Daytona 500 champion and CARS Tour co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. This event marks Earnhardt Jr.’s fifth ever start in CARS Tour competition.
Earnhardt Jr. is just one racer highlighting a 28-car deep Late Model Stock field. In addition to the Late Model Stocks, 32 Pro Late Models are slated to appear at Cordele, resulting in a combined 60 cars in total.
Some big names on the Late Model Stock Car (LMSC) side of things include points leader Connor Hall, as well as the most recent winner in LMSC competition, Mini Tyrell. Michael Hinde, who won last year’s World Crown 300, a marquee Super Late Model event at Cordele, is also looking to reach victory lane on Saturday.
The Pro Late Model (PLM) field features its fair share of names as well. Defending ASA STARS National Tour champion Casey Roderick has entered. Another notable name is that of Keelan Harvick, son of NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick.
