Jake Finch Picks Up Another Show Me The Money Victory in Montgomery

April 7, 2025

Montgomery, AL — It’s become a common sight to see Jake Finch and Ronnie Sanders Racing pick up wins in Montgomery Motor Speedway’s Show Me The Money Pro Late Model division, and the pairing did just that on Saturday in the Spring Explosion 100.

The defending Show Me The Money champion didn’t originally put his car in front of the field, qualifying in sixth position before officially starting the race in second by virtue of the redraw.

After trailing Christopher Tullis for a majority of the race, Finch made the decisive race-winning move on lap 69 of 100. Leading what was essentially the final third of the race, Finch never looked back en route to his victory.

Behind Finch, veteran racer Augie Grill worked his way by Tullis to come home in second place. Tullis rounded out the podium in third position.

For Finch, the race was won by biding his time and waiting for the perfect opportunity to surpass Tullis.

“I felt like it was pretty good. I got behind [Tullis], and kind of bid my time and slowed down a little bit too much and started overheating,” said Finch in victory lane. “I knew I had to go. I didn’t really want to get anybody, but I felt like we had a good car and felt like we had to go.”

Behind the podium finishers, Saturday’s fast qualifier Aidan Potter finished in fourth place. Jim Wall rounded out the top five.

Action resumes for the Show Me The Money series on May 17th with the Disturbing the Peace 100. For local classes at Montgomery, a night of local racing action is slated for April 26th.
