First Look at 61st Annual Alabama 200 Entry List

February 17, 2025

Montgomery, AL — A preliminary field of 22 Pro Late Models is poised to go bear hunting in Central Alabama for the Alabama 200.

The marquee Pro Late Model event at Montgomery Motor Speedway, often dubbed the “Hunt for the Bear,” has seen several of short track racing’s biggest names take home victories.

The 2025 entry list itself features multiple names that have been no strangers to success, both at the historic half-mile in Montgomery, Alabama and elsewhere in North America.

Objectively one of the most prominent racers in Alabama 200 history, Augie Grill, will return in search of his sixth Alabama 200 victory. “Mr. Montgomery” himself always has just as good of a chance as anyone when it comes to visiting victory lane in Montgomery, with 2025 having no reason to look different.

Grill is not the only modern representative of Alabamian short track fame to adorn the entry list, with names such as John Bolen, Dustin Smith, Jim Wall, and more having entered.

A couple of recent champions at Montgomery Motor Speedway also look to take home the hand-carved bear trophy. Christopher Tullis and Jake Finch, who have won the past two Show Me The Money series championships respectively, look to end the night in victory lane.

A certain young gun who has made waves as of late, Carson Brown, has also entered. Brown recently had two wins in the 2025 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway.

A pair of Canadian drivers will make the trip down south for chances at Alabama 200 fame as well, those being Chase Pinsonneault and Jarrett Butcher.
