Pit Pass Preview: 2025 SpeedFest

January 13, 2025

Cordele, GA — Saturday, January 18th will see Super Late Models return to action in 2025 for SpeedFest at Cordele Motor Speedway.

The event promises to be another big event like years past, featuring NASCAR talent alongside Super Late Model racing’s biggest names.

Here is your “Pit Pass Preview” with all the information you need to know.

Sanctioning Bodies

The Super Late Model feature at SpeedFest this weekend will serve as the start of the 2025 ASA Southern Super Series season, with the race being co-sanctioned by the ASA/CRA Super Series. The Pro Late Model portion of the weekend will run under the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour banner.

Divisions Competing

In addition to the aforementioned Super Late Models and Pro Late Models, Legend Cars and Bandoleros will hit the track for a pair of local features.

Event Schedule

Due to inclement weather predicted for Saturday and parts of Sunday, SpeedFest has been moved to Friday, January 17th. For an updated schedule and information on the date change, click here.

Event History

The event known as SpeedFest originated at the now extinct USA International Speedway near Lakeland, Florida. The event was held there from 2005 to 2008.

The event then moved to Lanier Raceway in Braselton, Georgia. There, the event took place for just three years from 2009 to 2011 before being moved to Crisp Motorsports Park, now known as Cordele Motor Speedway where the event still runs.

The list of Super Late Model SpeedFest winners is not just expansive, but also includes some of modern stock car racing’s biggest names. NASCAR Cup Series champions Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch have picked up wins in the event.

A few more notable names have picked up SpeedFest victories as well, including Harrison Burton, Chandler Smith, Corey Heim, and Bubba Pollard. Speaking of Pollard, the Senoia, Georgia driver looks to pick up his fourth straight SpeedFest win this year and his fifth overall. Pollard holds the record for the most SpeedFest wins following his 2024 triumph.
