Lincoln, AL — The Alabama Auto Racing Pioneers, a long-time establishment in the Alabama racing world, are set to forge a new chapter in their storied history this weekend.
Sunday, January 12th will see the Pioneers hold their annual banquet, where they will induct the latest class of individuals into their hall of fame.
This year’s list of inductees includes several notable names who have contributed to the Alabama and Deep South racing scenes.

Don Savage
Jerry Pate
Ed Chandler
Ted Lackey
Eddie Allison
Jimmy Wesson
Also being honored as part of the ceremony, T.C. Cannon will be receiving the B.J. Parker Award. It is an additional award which is presented to one honored recipient who has promoted and helped grow the sport.
The Sunday banquet will take place at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, next to Talladega Superspeedway. Doors are set to open at 10:00 a.m., with the festivities officially getting underway at 12:00 p.m.
