Friday night at Five Flags Speedway saw the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour decide its season as part of Snowball Derby week.
The Modified feature was one that saw a dominant performance from Florida’s Cody Stickler. Stickler, who led practice and qualifying earlier in the day, completed a clean sweep with his win Friday night.
Stickler held off Ohio’s Kyle Purvis, a midwestern modified ace, to take the victory. Purvis settled for second, with Kevin Peel rounding out the podium in third. Derrick Griffin and Brett Hudson rounded out the top five.
Although finishing in 20th place, Jaxon Bishop was able to finish close enough to championship competitor Jeff Letson and clinch the 2024 Modifieds of Mayhem championship.
The race featured several spills and thrills for competitors, with pileups, spins, and mechanical failures being prevalent occurrences.
