Jeff Smith won the 40-lap 604 Late Model Turkey Rumble feature at North Georgia Speedway in dominating fashion.
Smith would qualify on the pole with a fast time of 14.289 seconds and lead the 15-car field to green.
Smith started the night by jumping out to a commanding early lead, piloting his no. 17 604 crate late model to a half-straightaway lead within 5 laps.
Smith would continue his dominance halfway through, working through the field with knife-like precision. A late caution put a damper on the run, as the no. 22 of Tyler Hughes spun in the bottom of Turn 1.
The field returned to racing with two laps to go, with Smith continuing his dominance and claiming victory in the 40 lap feature.
“It’s about time,” said Smith. “We gave a few away, this is only our eighth race this season. I’d like to thank all the folks that help us, thanks for all of all the crew and boy it’s cold. Keep coming out and supporting your local track.”
