The first World Crown 300 in a decade proved to be the biggest win of Michael Hinde’s Super Late Model career.
The Hernando, Florida driver found himself in the right position at the right time, passing fellow Floridian Stephen Nasse with 51 laps remaining.
“It feels awesome,” said Hinde. “Got my very first big win here in a Pro Late Model during SpeedFest, so it really feels cool to get my first big Super win here.”
“It’s pretty cool to see them bring back the World Crown 300, especially to this place. This place is pretty special to me. You don’t see any races paying $35,000, maybe a few. It’s pretty cool to bring home that money. I’d like to donate $5,000 of my winnings to the Bigley Family Memorial Race.”
Hinde’s victory in the UARA National Tour event did not come easy. After a couple of cars spun in front of him early in the race, Hinde came to a complete stop. Although not making contact, Hinde was considered involved and was therefore sent to the back, causing him to have to drive through the field to secure the victory.
“Had a little bit of a mishap early on in the race. A few cars spun, I had nowhere to go. Unfortunately we had to go to the rear. Felt pretty good passing them cars and the cautions were timed right.”

Longtime NASCAR Truck Series competitor Johnny Sauter had the car to beat, leading the most laps. Ultimately however, tire falloff would see him lose the lead on a restart and slip back, ultimately finishing in second position.
Connor Okrzesik rounded out the podium in third. Stephen Nasse fell back to finish fourth, and polesitter Seth Christensen rounded out the top five in his Super Late Model debut.
