Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled ride during Atlanta Motorsports Park’s 2024 karting season! Race season is just around the corner, with fans and drivers alike gearing up for one of the best racing seasons to date. The stakes are bigger than ever this season, with AMP hosting CKNA (Cup Karts South Division) during Round 3, which falls on April 12th-14th.

LRR contributor Mitchell Bell spoke with a handful of drivers during last weekend’s open practice day.
Bell told us, “Multiple drivers are looking forward to hopping in the seat and are ready for this new season. With all of the beautiful days we’ve had here recently, teams have been out testing and breaking in new motors and chassis.”
Bell will be joining the LRR Georgia team this season alongside Steve Newbold and newcomers Clay Garland and Petra Shirley.

This upcoming season is filled with some fierce competition. The LO206 division in particular has some interesting storylines to follow throughout 2024.
Will we see the return to glory of “The Closer” Danny May?
Will Matt “The Cookie Man” Lassiter return with a big glass of milk and “Thin Mints” to celebrate yet another victory?
Well-known names around the AMP circuit will be moving up divisions this season as well. One will be the dominating Alyssa Vascocu, moving from the Junior LO206 division to the Senior group. It will be interesting to see if she can carry the momentum she had to close out last season. She’ll be looking for revenge after engine troubles ended her day short in last year’s finale.
Be sure to tune into Atlanta Motorsports Park’s social media pages for start times and dates for all AMP Kart Racing events. The first race day of the season is Saturday, March 16th, live on AMP Kart Racing.
