Steve Newbold here for LRR, covering all your motorsports needs from beautiful Dawsonville, Georgia. Today we have the AMP Summer Series Round 5. LRR is glad to be a part of the AMP media team as we continue to bring you all the race recaps from the beautiful facilities. Lets jump into all of the racing action. We begin our race recap in the spec Miata division.

The Spec Miata division is always filled with excitement and occasionally some drama. Blakely Fabiani continues his Cinderella story this season. If you remember, Fabiani had some serious car problems in the first round of the summer series. After replacing his engine the night before the race in round one, Fabiani would go on to finish P3 in the first race and win the following race. This race was hot and heavy from the drop of the green flag. Jose Garcia and Fabiani would bang doors the entire race, swapping positions multiple times. Jose would go on to win the race after being penalized in the qualifier, and after starting P2 in the main heat. The final results from the Spec Miata division: P1 – Jose Garcia, P2 – Blakely Fabiani and P3 – Chris Hune.

The next division to take the green flag was the Radical/Downforce division. The green flag dropped and the race got wild quickly. Before the first turn, we were already 4 wide to start the race. Radical driver Radien Nicol started towards the rear, and within 6 laps had already caught the leader. Nicholas Pearson was doing everything to hold off Nicol in his silver SR3 but he did not hold him for long. Nicol pulled away after an amazing pass in turn 3, but that did not stop Pearson from battling back. The final from the Radical/ Downforce division in a photo finish: P1 – Raiden Nicol, P2 – Nicholas Pearson and P3 – Barry Davidson

SR1 division: P1 – Radien Nicol, P2 – Gabe Spencer, P3 – Justin Fierro

SR3 Divison: P1 – Nicholas Pearson, P2 – John Pearson P3 – David Mason

Open Division: P1 – Barry Davidson, P2 – Shane Anderson, P3 – Jack Rambo

Spec Miata Division: P1- Jose Garcia, P2 – Blakey Fabiani, P3 – Chris Hune
